THE ATLANTIS HIGH GUIDE TO SCHOOL 1

THE ATLANTIS HIGH GUIDE TO SCHOOL

We spend a great many years at school and we learn alot from all the people we meet. School is so important and here is the Atlantis High Guide to school…

Your 1st day at school
You usually start school at 5 or 6. By this time you’ve already been to a preschool or daycare and have been mixing with other kids, playing with playdoh, building sandcastles and learning to go to the toilet by yourself.

Your first day at school can be exciting or completely terrifying. Walking into school on the first day, you meet your teacher and another 20-25 kids – who will be your friend at lunchtime?

Giles was nervous on his first day at Atlantis High – he’d never seen such weird people. He didn’t get off on the right foot after Sabrina put a fluffy pink g-string in his bag. But his first day came and went and before he knew it he had many friends.

Friends at school

Some schools have hundreds of kids and others only have a few but there are always enough to choose friends from. Sure, you won’t get along with everybody – the boy who picks his nose, or the girl who’s always grumpy – but there’s always plenty of friends to go around for everyone.

Those early days of friendship when you’re young are spent going to birthday parties and being invited around to someone else’s house to play with their toys, teasing each other, staying overnight at a friends house without your Mum in the next room. Many social skills are learnt at an early age.

Teachers

Do you or did you have a favourite teacher? There’s often a teacher that you feel closer to or that makes class so much more fun. You really want to learn everything they’re teaching you.

Things not to do at school…

  1. Pick your nose and flick it at the teacher.
  2. Kiss the girls and make them cry
  3. Give free hair cuts to every kid
  4. Let off stink bombs in the toilet
  5. Put laxatives in the teacher’s drinks

But then there are some teachers you just can’t stand. They never smile, they make the work boring or you think they secretly hate you. We’ve all met teachers like this!

What do you think of the teacher’s at Atlantis High?

THE ALIENS ON PARTIES 2

THE ALIENS ON PARTIES

We are getting very homesick with all this talk of gatherings and get togethers and celebrations.

It has not been easy to see Dorsey but not to be able to get in contact with him. It all reminds us too much of all the fun we used to have on Phenorg.

We long to be able to finish our mission here on Planet Earth and return to our marshy swamplands with our dear Dorsey.

Oh, think of the gatherings we used to have!

Please remember us as you prepare to celebrate the Feast of the Garganwxen and we will remember the

TOP TEN FACTS OF GATHERINGS ON PLANET PHENORG

  • Gatherings on Phenorg only happen for 3 events…the hatchlings of the newly hymogenised Phenorphtes, Swamp wrestling in the Marshlands of the Pittlfghywez and 1,000 year Phenorgal Institute celebrations.
  • The oldest Viqercorator at a Gathering has to say a few words in ancient Pheaenorg whilst balancing on the tip of his tail at the edge a swamp.
  • The youngest Viqercorator at a Gathering has to perform the dance of a 1,000 tails which is a traditional dance dating back to 7 P.C.
  • The traditional food that is served varies from gathering to gathering but always includes mouse burgers and ambrose of the swamp amoeba.
This Earth Woman demonstrates the spooky similarities between the way that E
arthlings eat and the way that Phenorgians eat.
  • There is music at gatherings and it is always performed by the school swamplings on instruments that are called Phenarferts. These are a cross between Earthling bagpipes and guitars.
  • Special clothes are worn at these gatherings and prizes are given to those who show off their tails to the best advantage.
  • There are dances other than the dance of a 1,000 tails which only the youngest Viqercorator can perform and most Phenorgians enjoy dancing the Tail Trot, the Mamama and the Swamp Sway.
  • There are special decorations that adorn the swamps during a gathering and these mark out the celebration area. There are green phosphorescent bugs that glow from glass vials that are hung amongst the vines, sparkly swamp glub that makes the marshland shimmer and huge lizards and reptilean statues made out of the marrow of the Moosh Marf.
  • The Phenorgians who are being honoured in the Gathering have to stand high on their tails and proclaim to always honour the six spheres of the swamp. This proclamation is followed by a huge kenang where Phenorgians of all ages get together, sway on their tails and sing the song of the Sacred Swamp.
  • The gathering ends with a bang when the naturally explosive Moosh Marfs set themselves off and soar through the twighlight sky. This phenomenon is often seen by Earthlings who say they have seen a shooting star. Piffle and Poofle. There are no shooting stars, only exploding Moosh Marfs!

This Earth Man resembles the explorers who came to Phenorg many years ago but who decided to settle on Mars
.

Oh we had the best times on our beautiful planet!

This method of party celebration is a little bit similar to Phenorgian gatherings. Although we were frightened as we hurtled through the event on the back of a flying creature, we enjoyed seeing the happy faces of the Earthlings as they jumped up and down and sang songs as they clutched their party bags.

We will keep you informed as to our remarkable experiences here on Earth and we hope that we will be able to make contact with Dorsey very soon.

Until we meet again in the swamps of our homeland,

Pherum Phenor Pheram.”

Mr. Dorsey happened to come across this secret message. He swallowed it whilst drinking a glass of punch at a recent party held in honour of the delightful Octavia Vermont.

“To the Master Plareion and all the little Phenegian Platosphormars…

We feel that we need to alert you to the fact that we, Xeron, Nebula and Vortex have seen some incredible sights here on Planet Earth and we wish to share some of our experiences with you to help you in your study of Earthlings.

The experience that we have enjoyed the most so far is the so called ‘party’ that we saw when we were buzzing around Sunset Cove whilst searching for our dear dicconyddian brother, Dorsey.

Every one of these Earthlings were dressed differently from how they normally appear and we think that they looked much better. There were a lot of colours in the costumes and everybody looked quite happy and jumped around a lot.

Some of the guests looked better in costume than they normally do!

There was lots of loud music and a very large man in a white glittery suit was singing and eating at the same time. He actually reminded us of Uncle Elvicldrorg at the 1000th Hatchling Gathering for newly hymogenised Phenorphates.

The Elvicldorg Impersonator

You remember how he sang the song about blue suede flippers and ate 2 dozen mouse burgers at the same time? Oh, those were the days my lords.

The more we travel the more we realise that there are some very strange customs and traditions on all the planets and particularly so here on Planet Earth.

There is a wide mixture of food at Earthling parties including a large cake that is set on fire so that somebody gets their eyebrows singed when they have to put it out. There are sausage rolls and little sandwich
hes. And there are wobbly jellies.

We saw Dorsey eating a green jelly and it reminded of the time that we attended the swamp wrestling competition in the Marshlands of the Pittlfghywez. Dorsey you might recall ate all the greenery from the swamp and there was nothing left to wrestle in! Fond memories indeed.

There are prizes given out for whoever looks the best at an Earthling party. Dorsey has obviously fitted in well to Earthling society and been accepted by the people of Sunset Cove because he won the prize for best costume at this party!

Dorsey wins the prize!

We think that Dorsey is looking good and healthy and think that he is enjoying his time on Earth. It is good that he has become an accepted member of the Earthling society.

But we think that the prize for the best costume should go to the boy with the big ears and the blue outfit. He really looks like he would fit in to any Phenorg gathering.

THE ATLANTIS HIGH GUIDE TO HOLIDAYS 2

THE ATLANTIS HIGH GUIDE TO HOLIDAYS

So what do Sunset Cover’s like to do while on Holiday?

Giles
“I like a low key holiday – spending time with the family – nothing too exhausting – watching tv, reading a book. Spending time with Octavia would be my dream holiday – maybe catching a movie or going to the library.”

Things you must NOT do on holiday!

  1. Eat suntan lotion – it’s just not right!
  2. Relax for too long in the sun and get burned.
  3. Pick out the wrong random phrases from foreign language phrase books – like if you’re asking for directions to the shops and you instead ask “can you tell me my name?”
  4. Homework
  5. Go on holiday and leave your family at home.

Coach Shane

“Holidays! Woohoo! I’d go to the gym of course – nothing too strenuous just a little workout for maybe 4 hours a day – checking out the talent while I’m there – then a sauna and a spa to wash it down. Then on to Vegas! A little gambling at the casino’s, checking out the nightlife and party, party party!!”

Grampa

“Oooh holiday’s I remember those. My whole life’s a holiday now – being retired and all. These days television keeps me entertained! I’ve 238 channels to surf so there’s no way I’m about to get bored. Something I’d like to do if I did get away would be to visit a television factory. I’d love to see how they shrink everyone to get them into that little box.”

Sabrina

The only holiday you’ll ever find me taking is a shopping holiday! My favourite places are Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Champs-Elysees in Paris, Harrods and Oxford St in London, and of course the fashion capital, Milan, Italy. I always take at least 7 credit cards with me and I usually take a months shopping holiday. I’ve got a reputation to uphold in Sunset Cove!

Josh Montana

I’m drawn by the aroma of females so a nice beach is always the best place for me to holiday. As long as there are females around then I’m basking in the sun and soaking up all that lavish attention. Coach Shane has given me some great tips over the years. As long as the sun is shining and a mirror isn’t too far away, I’m in heaven..

THE ATLANTIS HIGH GUIDE TO HOLIDAYS 1

THE ATLANTIS HIGH GUIDE TO HOLIDAYS
Holiday time comes around a few times a year and it’s great to have a break, put your feet up or get away. Sunset Cover’s love holidays too and here is their guide to Holidays.

Where do you g
o on holiday?

Most people like to get away during the holidays. Get away from work, home, and all the normal day to day things.
Where do you and your family go on holiday?

Beachside towns are often very popular during summer holidays – people want to relax, bask in the sun, eat whatever they like and play in the surf.

A family bach? In some countries owning a family holiday home or bach is quite common. The family pack up and live at their other house to get away from things and spend quality time with the family.

Things you must do on holiday!

  1. Sunbathe
  2. Swim
  3. Surf
  4. Eat plenty
  5. Relax

A travelling holiday – the family all bundle into the car and venture off to explore more of their country. Travelling from place to place, taking in the sights and having lots of fun on the way.

A skiing holiday – during winter months a skiing holiday can be great fun. Depending on how close you are to a mountain it’s an activity the whole family can get in to.

A stay at home holiday – sometimes families just need to relax at home – catch up on housework or renovations – perhaps have friends or family members come and stay.

What do you do?

Relaxing is what holidays are all about – this doesn’t necessarily mean lazing around doing nothing but giving your mind and body a rest from the everyday stresses of life. To get away and be in different surroundings is good for body, mind and soul.
Holiday’s are also a great time to catch up on shopping – get a group of friends together and spend the day shopping – another great way to feel good.

Get out and about and do something you’ve never tried
before – bungy jumping, horse riding, the biggest roller coaster at the funpark.

Holiday’s in Sunset Cove

Holiday time in Sunset Cove is humming! People swarm from everywhere to enjoy the warm weather and the fantastic beaches.

The shops get bigger and brighter and the local Icecream man is out in full force. The population in Sunset Cove swells to twice the size during the holidays – there’s always plenty of bronzed hunks and beauties to be found.

The residents of Sunset Cove really put it on for the tourists during the holidays. All sorts of activities are run for the younger kids like treasure hunts on the beach, lolly scrambles in the trees, and pin the tail on the alien.
