Q Anything else you can tell us about a day on the set of Atlantis High?

TE Umm….yeah, it’s incredible how many people ask if my ears are real….How dumb can you be!!! So if it was you, watch out….

Q How did you get into acting?

TE When I was six years old, I saw Les Miserables in Auckland and told my parents that was what I was going to do when I grew up.

Q What has been your hardest scene to film?

TE The one where I’m having dinner at Giles’ house and pretending to be a real bloke because the lines were so random to try to remember.

Q What do you do between scenes?

TE Learn my lines, chat with the actors and crew, try not to get into mischief….

Q How long is a typical day in shotting Atlantis High?

TE Around 10 3/4 hours.

Q How would you describe Atlantis High?

TE Like a dream.

What time do you wake up when filming?

TE If I’m not working, after lunchtime. If I am working anytime between 4.45am and 7.00am.

Q When do you start work normally?

TE On a good day about 10.00am but usually a lot earlier. It just depends on what scenes I’m in for the day.

Q How long does it take to get through Wardrobe and Makeup?

TE Wardrobe normally only takes about 10 minutes, but makeup takes a good hour at least because of the prosthetic ears.

Q What is the process for shooting when you are at the studio or on Location?

TE After we get picked up and go through wardrobe and makeup, we normally sit in the cast camper and sit around with the other actors until an Assistant Director calls us to do a scene.

Q What time do you finish working normally?

TE Normally if we are in until the last scene then it could be 7.00pm but we go overtime quite a lot so it could be around 8.00pm. There are also days when I’m only in the first scene and I’m out by 9.00am.

Q Anything else you can tell us about a day on the set of Atlantis High?

RL I have a great time whenever I work. I usually sneak away with a rugby ball and kick it around with Michael between scenes. We always get in trouble iwth the makeup people because we get all sweaty and our makeup runs. I just laugh and joke around with the other actors. We rehearse our lines and scenes and pull pranks on each other. It’s great.

Q How did you get into acting?

RL I had always wanted to. So I did a one day acting and modelling course. I then went to Drama School and got a Bachelor or Performing Arts.

Q What has been your hardest scene to film?

RL The Romeo and Juliet stuff at the school. It was hard because Coach Shane’s world is crumbling around him.

Q What do you do between scenes?

RL Sometimes watch t.v. Kick a ball around with Michael Wesley Smith and get all sweaty.

Q How long is a typical day in shotting Atlantis High?

RL About 12 hours.

Q How would you describe Atlantis High?

RL A place where there is always something happening. You could never be bored at Atlantis High.

RL Depending on my call time, about 8am.

Q When do you start work normally?

RL It varies, but mostly around 9am.

Q How long does it take to get through Wardrobe and Makeup?

RL About and hour for me. 10 minutes in wardrobe and about 45 minutes in makeup.

Q What is the process for shooting when you are at the studio or on Location?

RL I get driven to the studio or the location. I first go into wardrobe and then straight into makeup. I then relax and read my lines in the cast trailer until I am called to set. I can wait anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours.

Q What time do you finish working normally?

RL I ususally finish when I am no longer required for any scenes. Sometimes it can be 11am, sometimes 6pm. On this series it’s been about 3.30pm on average.
