MR FLUFFY MUFFIN’S GUIDE TO EASTER 1

MR FLUFFY MUFFIN’S GUIDE TO EASTER

“Well hello there – it’s me, Mr Fluffy Muffin. Easter is a joyous and relaxing time for many people around the world – including Sunset Cove. I’m great friends with The Easter Bunny so I’m going to bring you my guide to Easter.

Easter in Sunset Cove

Easter is a time of the year to celebrate spring, fertility and all things new. Spring lambs and baby birds and of course spring flowers.

The Easter Bunny used to try and bypass Sunset Cove because everybody used to be able to see him! The Easter Bunny is amazingly fast and very cunning and is famous for the fact that he is able to hide from almost every child in the world.

But when the Easter Bunny visits Sunset Cove there’s no hiding from anyone! It is very strange. Instead the Easter Bunny parades down the main street of Sunset Cove and gives out marshmallow bunnies, creme eggs and hollow chocolate eggs to everyone.

Sunset Cover’s can’t get enough of Easter. They have a week long holiday celebrating and I’ve heard that Sunset Cove alone eats almost a 1/4 of the worlds easter eggs.

This may in part be due to the Easter Egg Eating Competition. Held every year without fail up to 100 contestants line up to see how many Easter Eggs they can eat before they’re sick. Truckloads of eggs are brought in and the contestants have up to 3 hours to divulge as many as they can. Once they’re sick, they’re out of the running.

The latest record is actually held by Don the Janitor at Atlantis High. Everyone knows that he loves potato chips and marshmallows but boy can he eat Easter Eggs. His record is 258 Easter Eggs!

Another tradition is the Chocolate Fight. Litres of chocolate is brought in and put in a huge pool down by the beach and there is a huge chocolate fight among everyone from Sunset Cove. It is such a laugh but I don’t like to take part because my fur gets horribly sticky and it takes days to lick off.

Hot Cross Buns are always a favourite at Easter Time and I love them! What I like to do over Easter is relax and take time out to slow down and unwind. It’s a great time to take a break and spend time with family.

What do Sunset Cover’s like about Easter?

GILES: “I love Easter – eating hot cross buns, chocolate eggs to eat. Mum always hides Easter Eggs around the house for me and I have to try and find them. Grandpa loves to point me in the wrong direction and have a laugh”.

JET: “You know Easter might be one of the few things I don’t really consider a conspiracy. I love Spring, all the baby animals, the beautiful flowers. And it’s a great time to relax with the people you love.

SOPHIE: “Easter is great! All the little fluffy bunnies around, they’re so cute. And all the other little fluffy animals”

DON’S GUIDE TO FOOD 2

DON’S GUIDE TO FOOD

But…. food almost killed me

I thought it might have been the Brontosaurus Bites but they were just sooooo good that I couldn’t stop eating them. Those plastic little toys they put in the box got the better of me.

I must have eaten about 5 boxes of Brontosaurus Bites that day.

I was lucky that when I was brought into the hostipal that Octavia was on hand to perform the operation.

But after they operated and pumped my stomach I was about to pass out because there was no food in my stomach.

I was on a drip of Cereal Numbers, Potato Chips, Sugar Cubes and Brontosaurus Bites for four hours!!

Did it put me off?

With such a near death experience you would think that I might get my habit under control. But no…

The next week I entered myself into the Hotdog eating contest – I came 1st which was only to be expected. And the prize was a years supply of Brontosaurus Bites :o)

Top 5 things NOT to do with food

  1. Throw it at your friends
  2. Never insert food into any orrifice
  3. Don’t eat any food if you don’t know where it’s been
  4. Don’t snort peas through your nose
  5. Don’t laugh too much when you’re eating – there could be dire consequences

DON’S GUIDE TO FOOD 1

DON’S GUIDE TO FOOD

Hi I’m Don, the janitor at Atlantis High. I’m the best person in Sunset Cove to talk about food because no one loves food more than me. Here is my guide to food.

Why do we need food? How anyone could even ask this question is beyond me. Food is just the best! We need food to keep our bodies running. We’re a carefully oiled machine and food is essential to keep us going. We also need the right foods – most people would say we need vitamins, minerals, protein etc etc. But I know that all we really need is potato chips.

What are the best types of food?

The best food for me has to be one of two things – either really fatty or really sweet. Food has to taste good and we all know that fatty food and sweet food tastes the best.

But if you’re health conscious and don’t mind your greens then vegetables and fruit are great – they contain lots of essential vitamins that keep you healthy and full of energy – for me personally “blaaahhhh!”

My favourite food

Hmmmmmmm I luuuuurrrrrve potato chips and marshmallows. Potato chips are great because they have so much flavour. The feeling you get when you put one in your mouth…..”cccrrruunnnncchhh!” The excitement as your tastebuds realise what your eating and the feeling of satisfaction as you realise you have more to come.

Marshmallows are the sweet of sweets. The texture is fabulous – soft, chewy, sweet, and you can suck all the air out of them – but I can’t just stop with one – if there’s a bowl full then I just have to eat them all.

One of the best moments in my life

I remember the day so clearly – it was the middle of summer and I had just bought my 3rd packet of chips for the day. I was nearly at the bottom of the pack when I saw it…..

The “Elvis Chip”!!! This phenomenon comes around once in a lifetime. I just couldn’t believe that I, Don the Janitor, had found it!

The chip looked just like Elvis, his suave hair cut, the carefully defined lines of the face and I’m sure I even heard it say “why thank ya, thank ya very much”

Food you just have to have!

  1. Chocolate
  2. Potato Chips
  3. Icecream
  4. Mouldy cheese
  5. 3 week old bubble gum

Well, everybody wanted to know me then – I was invited onto the latest talkshow “Simply Sophie” where they just couldn’t get enough of me.

It was certainly the highlight of my life.

GILES’ GUIDE TO FRIENDSHIP 2

GILES’ GUIDE TO FRIENDSHIP

Top 5 ways to get a friend

  1. Be yourself and be honest/sincere
  2. Don’t be yourself – pretend to be something you’re not if 1 doesn’t work
  3. Lie and cheat your way to friends if 1 and 2 don’t work
  4. Pay someone to be your friend
  5. Get a cardboard friend

So how did I make friends? cont…

I next made friends with Jet – she was cool from the start. She thought I was cool because I was “weird”. Jet is into weird things. Her sense of humour is hillarious and she can definitely make me laugh.

Ultimately I finally became friends with Octavia but this was more due to mutual deep down genuine affection and love between us – even if we didn’t recognise it at first.

Sophie was the first person to introduce her self to me. We became friends but only after a period of time when we both finally understood each other. Sophie accepted that I didn’t want to go out with her and respected me for it eventually. I respected Sophie for who she was – a sweet natured psycho with psychic powers and a fluffy rabbit.

There were always going to be people that I wasn’t going to be friends with. Josh Montana was one of them. With us both after Octavia’s affections it was inevitable that we were going to be rivals.

Sabrina is not the sort of person I would want as a friend – she’d turn her back on you if it meant she gained something from it. I suppose we never really saw eye to eye after the pink fluffy g-string incident and the School Editor election.

Top 5 ways to lose friends

  1. Insulting your friends
  2. Stealing your friends boyfriend or girlfriend
  3. Never return things you borrow from a friend
  4. Never return a phonecall or continually stand your friends up
  5. Ignore your friend and pretend they don’t exist

So in the end friends are important. They teach you, comfort you, entertain you and help you to be who you are.

GILES’ GUIDE TO FRIENDSHIP 1

GILES’ GUIDE TO FRIENDSHIP

Hi it’s Giles here. I was a newcomer to Sunset Cove and there’s always the problem of finding new friends. I have some great friends now so here is my guide to friendship.

What is a friend?
A friend is someone you like to spend time with. Often you like spending time with them because you have shared interests or you both share the same humour. You might be going though similar times. Friends are there to support each other. If one of you has a problem then a friend is always there to help you get through it.

Plus spending time with friends is so much fun! Going to a move, sharing pizza or a coffee. Trying something you’ve never tried before!

Friends don’t have to be exactly the same. Friends have similarities but they also have their differences. Friends can introduce you to new things you’ve never even thought of.

Sometimes people claim to be your friend but it may be that they are only interested in something else. It pays to pick your friends wisely because sometimes they can take advantage of you.

Sabrina likes money so she was happy to be friends with Josh Montana because he had lots of money. She will also want to be your friend if it suits her like when she helped Giles dish dirt on Octavia.

So how did I make friends?

I was the outsider when I moved to Sunset Cove – I was considered a “weirdo” just because I wasn’t like everyone else. Basically I was the normal one – everyone else was nuts!! Sure I didn’t have a great tan, a rich family, or great looks but I have other qualities.

When you decide whether or not you like someone it shouldn’t be based on what you can see from the outside. Many people have great hearts, humour, brains and none of that you can see. You need to talk to people and judge for yourself.

Famous Friendships

  1. Laurel and Hardy
  2. Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn
  3. Salt and Pepper
  4. Salad and Salad Cream
  5. George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg
  6. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum

I first made friends with Beanie – it was easy to be friends with Beanie – he was an outsider too, having big ears and being an alien certainly isn’t normal. Our common interest was that we were both outsiders and we understood how each other felt – we also both liked checking out the school’s groovy chicks, like Octavia!
