Hello, I am Dr Leggs, the resident psychiatrist of Sunset Cove. Many interesting people come to see me about their problems (and you can sometimes see me in Atlantis High!). Each week I’m profiling different Sunset Covers – and this week is the 1950’s mother – Mrs Vermont

Name:Mrs Vermont
Age: Probably around 50
Status:

Wife to Mrs Vermont and Mother of Octavia – she is a housewife

Appearance:Always dressed in designer suits. She is always well presented and usually offering products to everyone.
Past History:Nothing is known of this mysterious woman. She’s always in a happy mood and nothing seems to phase her. She’s a loving military wife and always looks after her husband. There’s something odd about her past.
Motives:Mrs Vermont tries to sell anything to everyone. She’s always endorsing products and wants everyone to be using them. But Mrs Vermont also wants to keep the family secrets, secret – she’s careful to always be on her guard
Influences:Her husband means alot to her and she caters to his every whim. She’s not easily influenced because she seems to have her own strong ideas. She loves her daughter very much but perhaps she is worried her daughter is too smart for her own good.
Strengths: Her winning smile has everyone else smiling. Mrs Vermont could probably sell ice to eskimos. She’s strong willed and is self sufficient – there’s nothing she can’t handle and doesn’t rely on others to help her with anything.
Weaknesses: Her weakness would be shopping – Mrs Vermont LOVES shopping for anythind and everything. With her husband so busy it’s a great way to spend his money!
Catchphrases: “…full of the goodness of the praries!” “you can’t handle the truth!”
Secrets:Mrs Vermont has some deep dark secrets which are yet to be uncovered – there is something very suspicious within the Vermont family – and Mrs Vermont doesn’t want it getting out….
Rumours:

Rumour is that Mrs Vermont used to be a man. I have no proof at this stage but it is a little odd.

DR LEGGS’ report on DOROTHY GORDON (Joanne Mildenhall)

Hello, I am Dr Leggs, the resident psychiatrist of Sunset Cove. Many interesting people come to see me about their problems (and you can sometimes see me in Atlantis High!). Each week I’m profiling different Sunset Covers – and this week is the craziest mother you could wish for – Dorothy Gordon .

Name:Dorothy Gordon
Age: 38
Status:

The eccentric mother of Giles Gordon.

Appearance:Seemingly normal on the outside she wears slightly hippy clothes. Always a neat appearance and she likes to keep her hair tied away with a hair-band.
Past History:Dorothy’s past is very mysterious. She doesn’t talk about her younger days and Grampa hasn’t been much help in telling me either. Grampa always refers to her as “Dennis” rather than Dorothy which is very odd, it makes me wonder…
Motives:There seemed no earthly reason why Dorothy decided to move to Sunset Cove. There wasnt’ some great job waiting for her there. Dorothy’s motives are unclear – she seems to be on the search for something or someone and poking around the Vermonts house is a favourite pastime.
Influences:Dorothy doesn’t have many influences. She’s a very confident woman and doesn’t like to be told what to do. The only close people in her life are Grampa and Giles both of which she likes to give advice not the other way around.
Strengths: Dorothy is very confident. She knows what she wants and she goes out and gets it. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
Weaknesses: Dorothy is natually curious and lives life on the edge. She can sometimes find herself in precarious situations because of her curious nature. Cooking is not her strong point either – her chicken broth leaves a lot to be desired.
Catchphrases: “‘schools make me nervous, you’ve got bullies, peer pressure, raging hormones – and that’s just the teachers”
Secrets:Dorothy loves surfing. She’d do almost anything to catch the perfect wave. She even practices in the bath.
Rumours:

Rumour has it that Dorothy is not what she seems. She’s been living a double life. She’s often seen wearing and shopping for men’s clothing but all the rumours don’t add up. I’m not yet sure what it all means…

DR LEGGS’ report on JOSH MONTANA (Lee Donaghue) 

Hello, I am Dr Leggs, the resident psychiatrist of Sunset Cove. Many interesting people come to see me about their problems (and you can sometimes see me in Atlantis High!). Each week I’m profiling different Sunset Covers – and this week is the playboy of Atlantis High – Josh Montana.

Name:Josh Montana
Age: 17
Status:

Head boy and star quarterback of Atlantis High

Appearance:Handsome, square-jawed and well groomed, Josh always dresses impeccably in expensive clothes – and is very often accompanied by one or more adoring gorgeous females who love this rich hunk.
Past History:Josh is the heir apparent of the immensely wealthy Montana family, one of the richest in the country. He has enough money to buy anything – and is happy to flaunt his wealth to impress females, Josh: “Octavia, why don’t we discuss my family’s immense equity and real estate holdings?”
Motives:Josh enjoys female company and is happy to be pampered and spoilt by the huge number of females who find him irresistible. But his main aim is to become boyfriend to the beauty and brains of Atlantis High – Octavia Vermont. It just happens Octavia can’t stand his vanity and lack of intelligence compared to her own. Josh is very competitive and wants to be #1 in everything that he does.
Influences:Coach Shane. The sports and fitness guru of Atlantis High has a wealth of knowledge he is happy to share with his sports star, Josh. The two have a close bond and Shane gives advice on looking good, keeping your tan up, and what to do with babes. Josh greatly appreciates Shane’s philosophy and sports analogies on life.
Strengths: Fantastic at sports, handsome, wealthy – the list could go on and on. But in addition, Josh is deep down a really good person and despite some of his deficiencies, would do the best he can to help others.
Weaknesses: Amazing vanity – Josh loves to comb his hair for hours in the mirror and ponder what to wear. He is also not – shall we say – highly intelligent…
Catchphrases: (to Giles always) – “Hey Geekboy”, (to Octavia) – “Hey Octavia, why don’t we…”
Secrets:Josh has a secret but he has refused to divulge it yet to anyone – even myself.
Rumours:

There are whispers on the Sunset Cove grapevine that Josh really has another identity. Some claim he could be the mysterious Silver Lining superhero, but surely this can’t be?

Hello, I am Dr Leggs, the resident psychiatrist of Sunset Cove.Many intesting people come to see me about their problems (and you can sometimes see me in Atlantis High!). Each week I’m profiling different Sunset Covers – and this week is the geek boy of the moment, Giles Gordon.

Name:Giles Gordon
Age: 16
Status:

New kid on the block, geekboy supreme.

Appearance:Economy brand leisure wear and glasses.Giles wears totally unfashionable gear although he did try to smarten up his image with Rebelz coolwear.Didn’t work at all! Not cool.
Past History:Giles lives with his Grandpa and his mother (who Grandpa calls Dennis). There is no father on the scene and no siblings. Probably a good thing really as Sunset Cove couldn’t handle any more geeks. The Gordon family moved to the area recently though Giles hasn’t told me where they moved from. I have my suspicions…
Motives:Giles is desperate to fit in to his new surroundings and tries his best to make friends. He seems to fall in love easily and this might be because he is such a geek that he wants to know that somebody somewhere finds him attractive.
Influences:Giles at first glance does not seem easily influenced by anyone. I mean have you seen his clothes? But look a little deeper and you’ll notice that Giles does do things to please Octavia and his new schoolmates.
Strengths: Giles stands up for what he truly believes in and will support his new friends to the end. He is very tolerasnt of his new surroundings. But I would say his biggest strength is his inner child who keeps him under control and tells it like it is.
Weaknesses: Giles is ruled by his heart and gets in to a lot of trouble over that. He is also a bad swimmer and not very good at sports in general. Does not like to sunbathe and has a weakness for bad clothes.
Catchphrases: ” Can anyone tell me what’s going on here?!” ; “Mum, why does Grandpa keep calling you Dennis?” ; “Octavia!”
Secrets:Oohh, I am absolutely positive that there is a big dark secret in there and that we will find it out one of these days. I am not sure that Giles even knows it himself…or maybe he does and just will not face up to it.
Rumours:

There are whispers going around that Giles actually falls in love with Mr. Fluffy Muffin and that they will start to display their love/hate relationship soon.

DR LEGGS’ report on BEANIE WEANIE (Todd Emerson)

DR LEGGS’ report on BEANIE WEANIE (Todd Emerson)

Hello, I am Dr Leggs, the resident psychiatrist of Sunset Cove. Many interesting people come to see me about their problems (and you can sometimes see me in Atlantis High!). Each week I’m profiling different Sunset Covers – and this week is everyone’s favorite big-eared dude, Beanie

Name:Beanie Weanie
Age: This is a really hard one because nobody seems to know, least of all Beanie himself!
Status:

Loner and strange boy supreme of Atlantis High school.

Appearance:What else can I say but have you seen those ears? I mean, it’s hard to notice anything else! But I must say that Beanie does have his own unique style and tries hard to look clean.
Past History:What past history? Beanie has absolutely no idea who he is, where he came from and why he has been in the same class at Atlantis High school for 36 years!
Motives:Beanie just wants to be loved and to find out where he comes from. He has no family and no sense of culture or heritage. He wants people to like him for who (or what!) he is but plays the game as much as he can in order to fit in with his classmates and appear to be ‘normal’ like the rest of them!
Influences:Beanie is influenced by anything round and shiny. He is strangely drawn to spherical objects and has been known to stop a conversation just to run after a frisbee. More recently Beanie has begun to be influenced by his new found friends, Giles and Jet.
Strengths: Oh Beanie Weenie! A good loyal friend to those who will let him in to their hearts. Very good at drawing round UFO style objects. Great at creeping round in people’s school lockers, mainly unnoticed.
Weaknesses: A big weakness would have to be frisbees, wheel hubs and other things of the round variety!
Catchphrases: “Who am I?” and “Where do I come from?”
Secrets:.There simply has to be a deep dark secret with this guy. He is obviously not of this world. But why is he here? has he been left behind by his alien counterparts? Or was he planted on earth as a spy by some unknown biological warfare society?
Rumours:

Some say that Beanie has developed real ‘feelings’ for his new pal, Jet. Others feel that Beanie is heading for some kind of nervous breakdown because he is starting to get confused with his identity. Well, looks like I’m going to be kept very busy!
